Skills and technique

Our skills academy is designed to improve the players overall technical ability with the ball. Each player will have a ball at their feet for the majority of the session. They will work with real opposing pressure. Players will improve on dribbling, turning, skill usage and timing, change of speed and direction.
​
This winter we will have two level of classes on offer. We ask that everyone takes the time to sign up for the proper class based on the level of players.
​
Open Level - This level is open to all level of players and is geared towards beginners or players playing at a town level or in the following leagues Morris County, Mid NJ, Nothern Counties.
​
Advanced Level - This level is for skilled players who play at club level or play in the following leagues EDP, National League, MLS Next, GA, ECNL.

shooting and finishing
Our shooting academy is a high repetition ball striking class. The aim of the class is to gain extremely high repetition on striking techniques to try and master them. Each player will have a ball for the majority of the session to ensure they can execute high repetition. Everything will be towards a goal in these sessions.

junior academy
The Junior Academy will follow the same curriculum as our renowned U7 scholarship program. Our Jnr Academy is designed for 5 to 7 year olds looking to get a more structured approach to learning the game. We will teach the players all the fundamentals. Our aim is on individual player development so our players will be highly interactive with a ball for the majority of the session.

THE FA futures
Our Futures class is an introduction to the soccer environment. We have designed a fun and interactive curriculum with games to teach the players all the fundamentals of soccer, from technique, game play and understanding the rules of the game. While having a lot of fun players will work on all the basics of soccer through fun, interactive and discovery learning games.

THE FA FUNDAMENTALS - NEW CLASS
The FA Fundamentals program is uniquely crafted for toddlers aged 2 to 3. Its main objective is to nurture essential soccer skills in an enjoyable and organized setting. Throughout the program, participants will focus on enhancing building their foundational ball skills and technique and engage in introductory scrimmages aimed at building a strong basis in the sport of soccer.

THE FA PARENT & ME - NEW CLASS
The FA Parent & Me Class is a fun and engaging soccer program designed for children aged 1-2 years and their parents. The program includes structured activities, fun-based games, and scrimmages that teach fundamental soccer skills to children. Parents participate alongside their children, making it a positive and enjoyable experience for all.

goalkeeping academy
The GK academy is run by our highly trained Goalkeeping coach. Our GK Academy is structured around small group training. Classes will not be packed with dozens of players. We aim to provide high repetition in a real pressured environment that will help players all round technical abilities as goalkeepers.

This winter we will have two level of classes on offer. We ask that everyone takes the time to sign up for the proper class based on the level of players.
​
Beginner Level - This level is for players who are newer to GK or players playing at a town level or in the following leagues Morris County, Mid NJ, Northern Counties.
Intermediate Level - This level is for players who play full time GK and compete at EDP levels lower than flight 2.
​
Advanced Level - Advanced level is for skilled players who play at club level or play in the top flight of the following leagues EDP, National League, MLS Next, GA, ECNL.
*Players can be changed class based on their level.

TEAM training
If you are looking for your team to train and to keep sharp this winter The FA will train your team as a group.
The FA will supply a full time professional club level staff member to coach your players. The FA will provide your team with a curriculum for the winter to make sure the players are sharp for the spring season in March.

HIGH SCHOOL TRAINING
Open to all High School ages players (2008 to 2005). The HS Training program is designed to keep players sharp and fit over the winter months. The program focuses on technique, speed of play, fitness and attacking and defending situations.
